The Chakra system is an ancient complex energy system with seven main energy points. Chakra (cakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy points in your body. Originating in India, they were first mentioned in the Vedas, ancient sacred texts of spiritual knowledge dating from 1500 to 1000 BC. These points run from the base of your spine up through the crown of your head and have corresponding names, colors, meanings, and health focus. They are thought to be spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned for optimum physical, mental, and spiritual health.
